anit. Verfasser prüfte die Annahme einer Hemiedrie beimManganit mit Hülfe der Ätzmethode. Schwefel- und Salpetersäure sind zumAtzen des Manganits unbrauchbar. Die besten Resultate erhält man, wennman ca. 2 ccm. einer Mischung von Salzsäure und Wasser (ca. 6 : 1) biszum Kochen erhitzt, den Krystall einträgt, nach 2—3 Minuten die Säureabgiesst, den Krystall mit Wasser abwäscht und trocknet. Die Ätzfigurensind stets Gruben und zwar äusserem Ansehen und ihrer Lichtfigur nachmonosymmetrisch (oben wie unten) auf den Prismenflächen, disymmetrischnach der äusseren Erscheinung auf ooPöb (010), auf welchem keine Licht-figur zu erkennen war. Auf den verschiedenen Prismenflächen unterscheidensich die Ätzgruben durch verwendete Lage. Die Ätzfiguren beweisen somitden holoedrischen Aufbau der Manganitkrystalle. Another week, another close call for the Gamecocks. Their 45-42 win between the hedges was one that almost didn’t happen. Thankfully, Melvin Ingram’s five yard fumble return for a touchdown was all South carolina needed to lock up the game. RB Marcus Lattimore was an unstoppable force, rushing for 176 yards and one touchdown. South carolina shouldn’t be one of those teams that comes right outs and dominates everyone. It is expected that they have a few close calls every season, but don’t expect their game this weekend with Navy to be one of those. This will be the first time since 1988 that the two teams will play each other. The Gamecocks took the last game 19-8 in Columbia.
Skip ahead a few decades to 2001 when the owner’s decided to do a big time remodel. To be completely honest, I was not very impressed with the food. The first night, we ate dinner at Zuggy’s Base Camp. Bill and I were both tired, cranky, and hungry. We sat down at a booth and i looked around. the first thing I thought was that the place reminded me of an Outback Steak House. The menu consisted of pizzas, burgers, and an assortment of fattening appetizers. Bill and I both ordered cheeseburgers and draft beers. I overheard our waiter telling another party that a couple of the more popular appetizers were sold out.
